Can I drive my ATV or SxS to and from the City Of Salmon?
We are bringing back the ATV & SxS Escort!
To be able to ride your machine into town, Rally In The Pines will be bringing back the ATV & SxS Escort. Just like what we have had in past years. This escort will escort you riding your machine from the fairgrounds to town, or vice versa, each day. That way everyone can make it back and forth to town.
To give you the entire story of what is happening, the City of Salmon and Lemhi County are both working on making it legal for everyone to be able to drive their machines back and forth to the town of Salmon from the fairgrounds. If they can do it this year, GREAT!  But we know this will be a hard thing for them to do, so we are not waiting. We have learned that we can get permission for the ATV & SxS escorts back and forth to town. So we are moving forward now to get this set up.  This is a safety net, in case the town of Salmon and Lemhi County can not get permission from the State Of Idaho for all of us to drive back and forth on our own.
Problem solved either way!

What should I bring with me to Rally In The Pines?
Bring an ATV and/or Side X Side. The Salmon area should be warm in July, but bring warm clothes and rain gear, just in case. This is the high mountains. Bug spray is a good idea. Bring everything that you normally take when you ride. And if you fish, defiantly bring your fishing pole and tackle. Salmon has world class fishing.

Is my dog welcome at Rally In The Pines?

Yes, your dog is very welcome at Rally Park and on the rides. We ask that your dog be on a leash in the Rally Park area and that you clean up after your dog. Your dog must be in control at all times and dogs that bark constantly, their owners will be asked to leave.

Do I need to register my ATV or Side X Side in the State Of Idaho?

If you do not have a valid registration sticker from another state, they are $12 in Idaho and here is a link to locations you can get one at: If you need to register your machine in Idaho, make sure to bring your title & drivers licence with you!! I would suggest that you go to:
The restricted vehicle license plates are required to ride in the City of Salmon.
Operator must carry proof of registration and insurance.
ATV's and Side X Sides can be operated on all city roads in the City of Salmon. ATV's and SxS"s can only be operated from town to the fairgrounds on an ATV/SxS escort, unless the City Of Salmon or Lemhi County can make other arrangements with the Idaho Transportation Dept. Please see Schedule Of Events for departure times of ATV/SxS Escort.

Is there a cancellation list I can get on?
Why doesn't anyone answer the office phone right before or during the event?

Unfortunately, we do not have a full time office staff to do a multitude of changes on registrations. If we did employ that size of staff, we would need to double or triple the price of registration. From approximately July 1st, through the event, we have no one in our offices. Everyone is working on-site with very limited phone and internet access. Please email and/or call with your questions and requests prior to July 1st. After that, we are ready to rally! Thank you!
